Demetrius Flenory Jr. Aka Lil Meech has revealed the pressure he felt playing his father, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory.
Family Mafia founder Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was imprisoned when his son Lil Meech was 5 years old. Now, he finds himself at the perfect age to play his father in STARZ’s upcoming live-action TV series. Renewed for Season 2, BMF Just starting to scratch the surface of the “Mafia Family” story.
“Nobody has the same credibility as him. I just want him to tell me he’s proud — he saw it, he’s glad I did it, and I killed it,” Lil Meech shared with a source. “Once I hear it, then it’s all good for me. That’s what I want my family to get,” Mickey added, explaining how high the stakes were for him to play his father in his acting debut.
Executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson said Big Meech was in constant communication with his son Lil Meech and creator Randy Huggins throughout the process. 50 Cent and Randy Huggins also reveal the significance and impact of the “Family Mafia” story on today’s culture.
BMF Tells the story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi) from downtown Detroit in the 1980s. Formed to create the most famous drug trafficking organization in the country, known as the “Mafia Family”. The Flenory brothers must balance their desire to share the American Dream with what their own parents expect of them.
