Facing the pandemic, Amber Ruffin starred in her own late-night show, “The Amber Ruffin Show,” on the Peacock streaming service and co-authored a book called You’ll never believe what happened to Lacey.
Ruffin is now bringing that same energy into 2021 with word that the “Late Night with Seth Miles” writer is now co-writing the Broadway musical some like hotA four-time Emmy nominee, Ruffin joins the production team of Matthew Lopez, Casey Nicola, Mark Sharman and Scott Whitman.
Ruffin called the musical a “groundbreaking project,” according to Deadline. The new project is a remake of the 1959 film of the same name starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon.
The musical is still in production and is not expected to premiere until 2022. The cast has not been revealed yet.
