Chronic Law clashes with DJ playing alkaline music at boat party

Never play alkaline music around Chronic Law.

The St. Thomas disc jockey was enjoying a boat party with some friends recently when the resident disc jockey decided to commit the ultimate sin and play the alkaline song “Nah Fi Like.” Luckily for us, Chronic Law captured the moment on Instagram Live when he confronted the DJ and asked him to stop playing his opps music. In the clip below, Law Boss quickly turns to the DJ to let him know that nothing will be tolerated in his presence.

“None a that pon e bombocl*** boat ah mi deh yah enuh, yow tell him,” said the show host, as two of his friends appeared to inform the DJ, who complied.

Back in 2019, Alkaline had a serious rivalry with fellow 6ix members including Chronic Law, Squash, and more, with both recording several diss tracks. The lyrical battle ended with no clear winner, but a couple of hits from the artists involved. Perhaps it’s safe to say that authentic dancehall wins out in the end. The Hill Top jockey still seems to keep Alkaline at arm’s length, as he doesn’t even want to hear his music playing around.

This is not uncommon in dance halls and hip hop parties where competing artists do not want their opps music played at the party or club. Last year we saw Cardi B at a club where the showrunner mistook her for Nicki Minaj while playing Nicki’s music. The whole thing caused a stir, much to the dismay of the partygoers. DJ later apologized to Cardi B for the accident.

As for Chronic Law, he continues to party and seems to be having a good time without alkaline music.
