Beyoncé has kept the potential tour under wraps until today, Feb. 1, when the “Lemonade” singer announced her highly anticipated 2023 Renaissance World Tour.
The synopsis for a show on Wednesday, February 1, leaked on Tuesday, confirms the date and location of what appears to be a concert that will be part of Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. According to details shared on Beyoncé’s website, it appears the tour will kick off in Canada, with the first show scheduled for July 8 at the Rogers Center.
The Rogers Center is located in the heart of the entertainment district in downtown Toronto. The first show of Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is scheduled for May 10th at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. In total, there are 41 confirmed tour dates, from North America to Europe, including Barcelona, London, Paris, Amsterdam, New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Atlanta and other cities.
The North American leg of the tour is the most anticipated, starting July 8 and running through September 27 with the final show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The tour is in support of Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, due out in July 2022 and debuting at number one on the charts. Her last world tour was “On The Run II” in 2018 with husband Jay-Z. Additionally, it will be the first time Beyoncé will perform the 16-song album live. Fans have always wanted it, and now they have it.
Before Beyoncé announced the tour, she made a splash in Dubai, where she reportedly earned between $24 and $45 million.
