Record producer DJ Mustard and his ex-wife Chanel Thierry have settled their child support dispute, agreeing to pay $18,342 a month instead of the $80,000 Chanel originally demanded.
The couple filed documents on Tuesday, notifying the court of the proposed settlement, which would cover the couple’s three children, Radar Online reported. The couple have been locked in a bitter divorce battle after beat producer DJ Mustard filed for divorce from ex-wife Chanel in 2022. His divorce filing listed the grounds for divorce as “irreconcilable differences,” which is not the case in non-contested divorce proceedings.
DJ Mustard has applied for joint legal and personal custody of the minor children, and he also wants equal participation in education and healthcare decisions. However, he rejected $82,628 a month in child support, in which Chanel claimed Mustard earned $10 million in 2020 and could afford such support.
However, Mustad said he could only pay $18,342. His ex-wife claimed to owe her money, but Mustard said he paid $40,000 more than requested.
DJ Mustard and his wife married in 2020 after years together, but they appear to have separated last July.
Chanel also wanted the producer to pay $35,000 a month in spousal support, but Mustard fired back with receipts showing he continued to support his ex-wife after their separation, and that he fulfilled a buyout agreement from his prenuptial agreement that they should separate?
“Chanel’s claim that I have been financially starving her since the separation is an utter lie. From the time Chanel and I separated in May 2022, I continue to fulfill my obligations to support her and the child. I continue to pay Chanel All living expenses, including all her credit card bills. I also continue to pay for Chanel’s housing and children’s expenses, including private school tuition,” his submission said.
He added: “In addition to voluntary child support, I continue to pay 100% of our children’s educational, medical and extracurricular expenses. Finally, I also pay 100% of our agreed upon $315,000 in spousal support under the terms of our prenuptial agreement.” 100%.”
DJ Mustard said he also continues to pay car bills for his ex-wife’s Lamborghini Urus and that he wants spousal support to be removed from the prenuptial agreement.
The couple have three children together, Kiylan, Kauner and Kody.
