A lone intruder broke into one of Drake’s Los Angeles homes, according to the LAPD report.
On Friday, TMZ reported that the luxury mansion had an unwanted visitor who managed to break into the property but was stopped by home security, who called the police after noticing him. Drake reportedly owns three homes in Los Angeles, but details about the homes that were broken into have not been released.
However, he is known to own a property in Calabasas, a Hidden Hills estate he bought last year for $75 million from British rock star Robbie Williams, and a fresh known properties. Perhaps the price tag has made the real estate a prime target for robbers who have seen an increasing number of upscale Los Angeles areas in recent years.
The incident occurred on Thursday night when burglars were spotted leaving the rapper’s home with what appeared to be items, law enforcement said. It’s unclear how the man got into the compound in the first place or how long he was at Drake’s mansion.
A man has been arrested, but not without some effort from quick-thinking police officers. According to the publication, the suspect managed to escape and when LAPD officers arrived, he all but disappeared. However, police were tipped off to the intruder during a search of the nearby area and the suspect’s description matched that of a man walking down the street.
The man was arrested after a search of his body determined he was carrying Drake’s personal property.
In the meantime, thankfully, neither Drake nor any family members were home, TMZ reported. The rapper was still spotted online in New York after performing at Harlem’s iconic Apollo Theater on Saturday and Sunday.
As for Lushen, this is the latest in a series of reports from demented fans targeting his family.
Last year, a suspect was arrested after breaking into Drake’s YOLO property. Crazy Fan Claims He’s Drake’s Son! He was charged with trespassing, and Drizzy ended up selling the YOLO property.
The year before, a woman also broke into Drake’s home, drank his alcohol and had bizarre fantasies about the rapper while wearing his clothes. The Toronto native was granted a restraining order against her, though his legal team declined to press charges because the rapper reportedly believed she needed spiritual help.
Drake has yet to respond to the latest reports.
