Drake paid tribute to Sizra Kalongi as he celebrated his mother’s 75th birthday Saturday night with his son Adonis, his father Dennis Graham and other family members who were all in attendance for the special milestone.
The Canadian rapper shared several heartwarming photos from the event, showing his efforts and appreciation for mom Sandy Graham. The photo carousel includes a very cute Adonis helping his grandmother blow out the candles on a giant birthday cake.
Drake and Adonis Graham also shared camera time with the young man in a sharp gray suit and white turtleneck, while Drake wore a tan tuxedo and a white lined shirt.
Both father and son had neat braids, and Adonis held up a peace sign. There’s also a sweet photo of Drake, his mother, son and father all posing with big smiles. Drizy also shared a selfie video of him joking with his mum, and Adonis popped into the video, making faces.
Drake also shared a sweet caption, using lyrics from Sizzla Kalonji’s “Thank You Mom,” as he shared his love and respect for his mother and her sacrifice.
“Thank you mom for taking me through 9 months…all the pain. No one knows the stress you’re under but you…all my love for you,” the rapper wrote, referring to Sizzla Kalonji.
Many of Drake’s fans and followers sent birthday wishes to Ms. Graham, including DJ Khaled, who wrote “Love and More Wishes,” French Montana and others.
Drake is close to his mother, who raised him as a single parent after he separated from his father when he was five.
Life was far from easy for Graham and her famous son, as she struggled to make ends meet and raise him while battling osteoporosis and severe joint pain that caused her to spend most of the rapper’s childhood Bedridden all the time. Throughout his career, Drake has received public support from his mother, who backed his rap career and even laid flowers on his 2021 Certified Lover Boy album.
Sizzla Kalonji recently made headlines for burning the platinum plaque he received for his work on DJ Khaled’s album. The We The Best Music Group producer did not respond to requests for comment, and it is not known whether he and Sizzla spoke afterward.
