A bodyguard who claims Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty physically assaulted him is suing the couple for $753,958.51 in battery and emotional damages.
Bodyguard Thomas Weidenmuller, who lives in Germany, has filed charges against the rapper for battery and causing emotional distress. The lawsuit was filed last month. Weidenmüller claims he was hired as head of security at a 2019 Nicki Minaj concert in Frankfurt, Germany. During the concert, a fan jumped onto the stage and ran towards the rapper, upset that she, Weidenmüller claimed, was the reason for the later attack.
“Concert-goers broke through the security barricades separating the audience from the stage and onto the stage while Minaj performed. While entering the stage, the concert-goers bypassed the stationed access to the stage, the Blast reported. A female security guard on the stage stairs.
Weidenmuller said that while the rapper was upset that fans took to the stage, Minaj was not injured and the stage was not damaged.
“The person who went to the concert did no harm to anyone else, nor did he damage any property during or after his limited time on stage. He was just dancing to the music on stage. Minaj engages in any physical contact.”
After the show, Weidenmuller said he met Minaj, Kenneth and the rest of her entourage, and Minaj was apparently “pissed off at this confrontation and yelled at the female security guard, called her a bitch, and accused her of making Minaj Trapped in “Physical Danger. During the confrontation, the female security guard apologized to Mina in tears. “
The female security guard apologized to Nicki Minaj, who refused and instead demanded another apology, which she recorded on her phone. The rapper told the woman, “Tell Minaj’s fans through the recording that she’s not doing her job and putting Minaj in danger.”
Weidenmuller claims the rapper went a step further when she angrily threw the shoe at the security guard, but missed. Weidenmuller did not say he witnessed it, but he said Petty called him backstage where he, along with two other bodyguards and Nicki Minaj, verbally attacked him and accused him of being romantically involved with the female bodyguard.
“Without warning, Petty punched Weidenmuller from the side and made contact with his right side. [his] face,” the lawsuit said, resulting in the head of security having to be hospitalized.
Weidenmuller said he ended up in the hospital for 10 days and was in excruciating pain because Petty punched him several times.
“Two or three minutes later Weidenmüller, believing his jaw had been broken, turned the corner again and got back where Petty hit him.”
The matter was reported to police, but it is unclear what the outcome of the investigation will be as neither Petty nor Mina returned to the United States without criminal charges.
