Rick Ross is in a good mood ahead of his 47th birthday this Saturday.
Since the start of the week, The Biggest Boss has been celebrating, with a party at Parq nightclub in San Diego last weekend and a party at Liv Miami this Friday. In his usual celebratory mood, Rick Ross shared a video of him dancing to ballroom artist DeMarco’s classic “I Love My Life.” In the video, a Jamaican voice urges Rose, “yow gi the gyal dem a wine fi yuh birthday rasta.”
In shorts, sneakers, a puffy fur coat, no shirt, and sunglasses, Rick Ross turned his waist while holding a bottle of his brand of whiskey.
The video was retweeted by Demarco, who shared the laughing and flame emoji. Rose shared several videos of herself sitting on the red-carpeted staircase. The artist did not caption the photo, but he received many birthday wishes from thousands of fans.
Rick Ross is a big fan of Jamaican culture and has been practicing his dialect and dance moves, no doubt influenced by his Jamaican girlfriend, Pretty Vee. The rapper shared other Instagram Stories in which he said he celebrated his birthday all weekend long.
In one story, he shares his own Villon France while Johnny Osbourne’s reggae track “Buddy Bye” plays in the background. Rick Ross also did the elaborate skanking dances that were common in the music of the era.
“Pot belly rude boy, real king, I love my life yuh zeet. Mi birthday weekend, celebrate with the biggest boss, let’s toast b*mboclaat bamboo, please, yes…you see me standing under the eyes , look. The sun shines on my way of life,” Rose said as he poured his drink.
Rick Ross’ appreciation of Jamaican culture was welcomed by Jamaicans, who loved his antics and promotion of Jamaican music and culture. The artist seems to be heavily influenced by his girlfriend, Vena Excell, aka Pretty Vee.
Last month, after months of speculation, Pretty Vee confirmed that she and “the biggest boss” are indeed dating.
