beyoncé Officially back, and according to reviews of her weekend performance in Dubai, she’s better than ever, performing an hour-long series of her best at the grand opening of Dubai’s newest Atlantis resort, The Palm. hit song.
The superstar performed a number of hits, including classics like “Crazy in Love,” “Beautiful Lies” and “Naughty Girl,” as well as new hits like “Freedom,” “Alive,” and “Spirit.” She also reportedly sang a cover of Etta James’ “At Last.”
At one point in the performance, her daughter blue ivy (now 11!) with her on their song “Brown Skin Girl,” from Beyoncé’s 2019 lion king companion album. Blue Ivy donned a sparkly red gown, while her mom rocked a glamorous yellow gown for the song. Beyoncé also donned a slew of glamorous looks for the event.
Security at the event was so tight that approximately 1,000 invited attendees were asked to lock their phones before the show. All live broadcasts from the venue were also cut shortly before she began her performance.
However, many celebrities still appear on the red carpet, including Kendall Jenner, Rebel Wilson, Ellen Pompeo, Chloe Bailey, Aamir Khan, Letitia Whiteand more. Jay Chou Also present in his own exclusive box seat. The event culminates with a fireworks display and a Swedish Mafia-themed evening.
As busy as she’s been over the past four years, Beyoncé hasn’t given a full concert since she and husband JAY-Z appeared at Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in 2018.
The newest Atlantis resort spans more than 63 hectares, with more than 795 rooms and suites, no fewer than 90 swimming pools and at least 17 restaurants, many of which are run by world-renowned chefs.
