Lil Wayne is one of Hip-Hop’s biggest sports fans. He constantly expresses his love and respect for the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Lakers, and even became close to the late great Kobe Bryant. He even dedicated a tribute song to the “Black Mamba” after his fourth title win in 2008.
Weezy is also a big Green Bay Packers fan. On Drake’s “Ignorant Sh*t,” he raps, “I’m a cheese head, word to Vince Lombardi.” The Packers fan base is known as “cheeseheads.” The Young Money founder was one of many disappointed cheeseheads following the Packers’ 16-20 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. He reacted to L on Twitter.
“Please do me a favor and don’t call or text me, I don’t want to talk,” Lil Wayne tweeted.
Last November, after a loss to Detroit, Lil Wayne expressed his disappointment with Rodgers and the Packers.
The Packers struggled this season as Rodgers adjusted to playing with young receivers. The silver lining was rookie wide receiver Christian Watson’s late-season breakout. Watson finished the season with seven touchdowns in his final eight games.
After the game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke about his future, and his comments won’t inspire fans like Lil Wayne.
“At some point, the carousel will stop, it’s time to get off, and I think you kind of know when that is,” Rogers said Sunday. “That’s the thing to think about. Is it time? Also, what do organizations do? That’s part of it. But the fire of competition is always there. I don’t think that’s ever going to go away. I think sometimes it shifts to Other things that may never fill that huge void. But like I said, I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished in this league and don’t regret leaving. But once I get out of that, I’ll What it feels like to see it.”
