After four years together, Cardi and Reebok are coming to the end of their partnership.
Reebok CEO Todd Krinsky said the partnership with Cardi proudly pushes boundaries and emphasizes inclusivity and self-expression. He continued: “We are so grateful to have worked with Cardi over the years. Having the opportunity to work with someone as passionate, iconic and talented as her is an unparalleled experience that is sure to have a lasting impact on the brand.” Today, Cardi Posted her final collection on her Instagram, part two of her “Let Me Be…Next Level Energy.” “For my last collection with Reebok, I had to make sure we took it to the next level. I needed everything from slippers to jumpsuits to be as big, bold and fun as possible,” says the Bronk The rapper explained.
“It started with the commercials, and I just love what they bring to the table,” Cardi B told FN Partnership. “I’m so glad they saw my thoughts. When I went to their headquarters in Boston, they welcomed me. It was a cold day, I just had such a good experience, and I thought, ‘Why not? I don’t want to be with no Collaborating with people who cared about my vision and product, but Reebok did it.”
The Cardi B x Reebok partnership launches September 29, 2022, in two styles: the Club C Cardi ($100) and the Cardi Coated Club C Double ($80). The two styles come in three different colors and are available in women’s and kids’ sizes. Club C Cardi styles sell out in 30 minutes in the US.
“It comes down to two parts: authenticity and shared values,” says Caroline Machen, Reebok’s vice president of global marketing, of what makes for a successful partnership. “It doesn’t feel forced. Who Cardi is and what her fans love about her — those are the same values as Reebok. And, it’s taking that message and bringing that message into the product.”
