This week, rapper Billy B caught up with DJ Self on Power105.1 and discussed the latest behind-the-scenes drama with rapper Lola Brooke. The “Don’t Play It” featured MC shared that she wasn’t the only one wondering why Lola didn’t invite her to any of her shows in New York. Rightfully so, BKMC says “Don’t Play It” is the two artists’ biggest record and feels that since they wrote the same song together, they morally should be doing certain things together. And that’s after Lola appeared at Lil Kim’s Apollo Theater show in Harlem, NY this weekend. While many were expecting Billy B to take the stage, Lola performed her own verse twice to the raucous crowd.

After a back and forth with Lola’s best friend on social media, Billy revealed there’s more behind the scenes. Billy blamed Lola’s management team for preventing the promoter from also wanting to book her. Lola’s friend defends her, reminding her it’s Lola’s song.
“This is Lola’s song! Beauty is a feature! She’s entitled to her opinion, but if she felt like she was out, she could have easily called LOLA, no internet! Topic done!” Rodriguez wrote.

Billy revealed that she recently saw Lola Brooke after a back and forth with Lola’s best friend Mona Rodriguez.
“I saw her today, but we didn’t talk.” Billy shared
DJ Self interjects, “Why don’t we have a conversation, that’s going to be the first thing…”
“Look, man, I don’t know.”
“Did you shake hands and hug?” Ask yourself.
“No.”
