A year ago, at least a dozen HBCUs received bomb threats on the first day of #BHM

At least a dozen historically black colleges and universities received bomb threats on the first day of Black History Month last year, leading to schools being evacuated or closed entirely for the day, demonstrating the country’s unrelenting commitment to racism, especially its Specialized secondary learning institutions.

The FBI is actively investigating bomb threats at the following schools: Mississippi Valley State University, Morgan State University, Alcorn State University, Toogaroo College, Jackson State University, Kentucky State University, Fort Valley State University, Howard University, Xavier University, District of Columbia, Spellman College, and Edward Waters University.

Morgan State University reportedly closed its campus that day (February 1) due to the alleged threats.

The FBI has passed usa today Regarding the bomb threat, it reads, “The FBI is aware of a number of bomb threats across the country and we are working with our law enforcement partners to respond to any potential threat. As always, we want to remind the public to report anything suspicious to law enforcement immediately.”
