Meek Mill was pardoned by the governor of Pennsylvania over the weekend. Meek has been widely acclaimed on social media, including some special words from Boosie Badazz.
“@MeekMill Mill got a pardon!!” the Baton Rouge rapper wrote on Twitter. “That’s so powerful! That’s real power! UN your team can change the law N bring a lot of wronged people home from prison!! Keep going young king, I’m sure you can do something for the lost Change #mademesmilethismorning”
Meek made the certificate public on Instagram, noting the forgiveness of the criminal conviction, which can now be expunged from his record.
“Thank you everyone,” Meek wrote on Instagram. “OMG, I’m just doing more for my community!”
Meek was included in a round of pardoned Pennsylvania citizens. The total for the week was 369.
“I take this process very seriously – reviewing and carefully considering each of these 2,540 pardons and the lives they will impact. Every Pennsylvanian who succeeds through this process truly deserves their second chance, and I It’s an honor to be able to give it,” Governor Wolf said. “Recording prevents positive advancement in a person’s life and can trigger a repeated cycle of failure. I firmly believe that as rights are restored, pardoned Pennsylvanians will prove themselves by strengthening and giving back to our communities.”

Meek and his friends recently made an effort to commit to doing good for the community. Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Reform Coalition co-chairs, Grammy Award-winning musician Meek Mill and actor Kevin Hart announced a $7 million donation to 60 private and parochial schools in need. The schools will use the money to provide scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year to low-income students from underserved families.
Additionally, the funding will be used to provide much-needed home technology such as laptops, tablets and WiFi.
The latest installment of Meek Mill and Michael Rubin’s continued commitment to helping communities in need, with gifts totaling $17 million over the past few years, is this $7 million donation.
These charity events are a follow-up to major charity events and initiatives held during the recent holiday season at the end of 2022. To provide a special VIP experience to more than 30 children adversely affected by the criminal justice system and unfair probation, Rubin and Mill teamed up with the REFORM League, Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers for their annual Giving Season. m Ke also released bail for 20 Philadelphia women so they could spend Christmas Eve with their families.
